MESSAGE


Dear Fellow Culinary Members,

Thanks to all for your support for March general meeting with Chef Sonnenschmidt Sausage demo. We had around 140 people in attendance. I greatly appreciate all those who assisted our chapter in this event. With spring approaching let us try to support our chapter by attended the next 2 general meetings and seminars before the summer break.

We have schedule for the next 2 meeting to have Chef Alfred doing some hands on VEGETABLE CARVING from 5:00Pm to 6:30PM, please bring you knife and cutting board. This is a great opportuniy to learn from a master.

The board is encouraging our members to acquire there local vendors to support and join our organization. Together this can strength our association. Our chapter is working to get one sponsor for the chapter per year.

I was at the Northeast regional convention in Hershey PA, and here are some items of interest.

* If you have lost or laps your certification, for a fee you can apply and take NO test, practical just fill out an application. This will expire by JUNE of this year.

* The conference had 600+ attendees.

* Mark Kent received a Cutting Edge Award for the national President. Congrats Mark.

I look forward to seeing everyone on Monday.

If any members need a new member packet please contact Jim Martin for that information as membership chair, once you give the package to a new member Jim will then do a follow-up call and will invite the prospective member to one of our meetings.
