PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

Dear Fellow Culinary Members,

I hope everyone and a great and or Busy Easter. I would like to specialty thank Chef Jim Martin and Chef Ron Perkins for a very interesting demo in March on smoking and curing. I hope some of our members experiment with the information given to us.

We had several new and prospective members that night. We hope we can increase the turn out at every meeting.

As our chapter’s Vice-President Pam Mock is working on getting us some interesting seminars and demonstration for our monthly meetings. She will also be the one given out the CEH (continuing education hours).

Also if something interests you please contact Pam a she can start working on it. Chef Mark, Tim and myself are working on a date for the certification meeting. We will discuss at the next board meeting about when we will hold a practical exam date and site.

The regional convention will be on April 5-7th, we have about 8 members attending. Our chapter will be receiving a chapter appreciation award at the general session.

If any members need a new member packet please contact Jim martin for that information as membership chair, once you give the package to a new member Jim will then do a follow-up call and will invite the prospective member to one of our meetings.

Our Chapter has scheduled the follow dates and times for Courses for Certification:

Chapter members in good standing are FREE.

ALL CLASSES WILL BE HELD AT UNIVERSITY OF AKRON

Management – April 7- 14- 21 –28, 2008 at 6:00 to10:00 PM
